Join Kansas City staff for a community kick off where we will introduce the Reconnect Westside, Planning & Environmental Linkages Study (PEL). Councilmembers Eric Bunch and Crispin Rea, as well as City Engineer Nicolas Bosonetto, will speak at this event. Stop by to give feedback and get your questions answered!
What is Reconnect Westside Study?
This study aims to address the environmental, economic, health, and transportation burdens from past transportation planning efforts and investments. Kansas City’s application for the Westside neighborhood focuses on three key barriers:

The Interstate Highway System (I-35 and I-670)

Beardsley Road and the Westside Bluff

Barriers within the Westside, including railroads, topography, surface streets, and other features.
